Recently I was watching a show on cable about the human body and its capabilities. They feature a guy who was breaking bricks with his head. This guy was over six feet and weighed close to 275 lbs. The same guy also tried to withstand a taser shot. This guy failed miserably. The moment the taser hit him, he was down.

Tasers are probably the best non lethal weapon out there for self defense. It will shoot up to 50,000 volts to your body then send out additional pulsating electricity to incapacitate the nervous system. It will leave the attacker twitching uncontrollably in the ground. It can also hit the attacker 15-20 feet away. Some models come with laser so as to make targeting easier.
