Door Locks 101

If you are not into inconsequential things like doors and locks, you easily get impressed by developments in this segment of the construction industry. Recently, I had to change a door in the house and had to buy new door locks. I was a little wary of making that trip to the hardware store without my ever efficient hubby to make decisions for me. The display was overwhelming and I learned a few things.

It seemed matter of fact to the salesman, but did you know that you can buy handset and double lock sets that use only one key? That was a good thing that faced me that day after years of grappling with two keys that always seemed to confuse. If I am so impressed by this little thing about common keys for double locks, I wonder how I will take to fingerprint reader door locks.
