security guard metal detector

Nearly all security guards are armed with guns while on duty. With this visible weapon, a guard hopes to discourage crooks from entering and terrorizing his protected area. The gun can also be used to defend himself against attackers. But to spot hidden weapons like knives and guns covertly carried by guests and customers, a guard uses a different tool. He counts on a metal detector.
A security guard metal detector is a hand-held instrument often brandished close to a person’s body or bag. The aim is to detect dangerous weapons that may be concealed in clothing, packs, or the body itself. Guards typically wield this helpful instrument in doorways of commercial establishments. In airports and other places with extraordinary volume of people, however, a small, handheld metal detector will be inadequate and ineffective. What will get the job done are several stand-alone, industrial-type metal detectors.
