Most companies that provide security personnel need proper, reliable restraints for use of their workforce. There are many kinds of restraints in the market today. Most popular still are hand cuffs. The probability of escape from hand cuffs is relatively lower than with other restraints. In addition, majority of hand cuffs manufactured today are less likely to be picked open with anything besides the actual keys.

Nearly all police and security people still use hand cuffs on offenders than any other kind of restraint. In fact, police departments nationwide still carry regular hand cuffs in addition to the more modern kind of restraints. Commonly made from stainless steel, hand cuffs are sturdy and tough. Some models even employ the double lock method to ensure that offenders are securely restrained. In fact the only complaints about hand cuffs come from those who find themselves restrained by them.
