Burglars usually look for smaller items that can be easily carried out of house. These include jewelry, expensive electronic items, watches and cash. They know where to look and if your valuables are not securely tucked away, they can be gone in a matter of minutes. A safe or strongbox does not even guarantee that they can protect your treasured possessions. This is because many burglars are experts in unlocking ordinary safes.
A diversion safe might be your best bet then. It looks a lot like the real thing that a criminal will hardly pay attention to it. Traditional diversion safes appear as books, canned foods and bottled cleansing agents. Today, companies are putting more and more imagination into the production of diversion safes. There are safes that are disguised as lettuces, wall sockets, thermometers, and even soiled underwear!
