Pen Knives with USB Flash Drives

They were originally used for cutting or sharpening a quill. That is most probably how pen knives got its name. The first pen knives resembled a scalpel with a short fixed blade at the end. The blade was used to make a point on writing quills. It was very much later when pen knives became folding knives and so much more.

Over the years, pen knives became multi-functional. The gadget included scissors, nail files, corkscrews, tweezers and what have you. More current versions will probably include a flashlight and USB flash drive, more attuned to current needs. By this time quill pens are totally history. The knives in pen knives now have various other uses.
