Capturing an assailant with small wrist joints may require other alternative restraining devices. For example, thumb cuffs will work best for people whose bone structures are too small for hand cuffs. Women, juvenile delinquents or youth offenders are those who can be restrained using thumb cuffs. These devices have excellent construction that makes it very difficult to escape from.
Thumb cuffs can be single or double lock. They measure 4.25 inches long, the ideal length to restrain people. These devices are sturdy and very strong. If an assailant tries to resist the cuffs or try to escape from the bondage, the groove of the thumb cuffs can cause a lot of pain.
