Before heading out to the great outdoors, check that you have all the necessities you need for a weekend camping trip. Be sure also to pack essential outdoor survival gear just in case. In preparing outdoor survival gear, it is important to know certain variables that will be a basis of you survival pack. The first thing one should know before the trip is the number of days they’ll be gone, so they can assess the volume of supplies they’ll need.
The number of people in the party is also important, their ages, gender, and the level of their past exposure to outdoor activities. Note too the type of terrain and environment that you’ll be exposed to. The survival pack for summer camping is not the same as for cold weather hikes. The variables mentioned will greatly affect the type and volume of survival packs that you will prepare as you plan the trip.
