firefighter flashlight

The weather had gone rough on the first night of our camping trip. It started to rain hard and strong winds came with it, even though the weather forecast said nothing about bad weather at all. Through the night it felt like our tents were going to be ripped off, but our pegs and cords stayed secure.

At one point during the evening though, our dog Felix heard something and ran to see what it was. We tried to get him back but he had gone too far already. Despite the rain we ran to find a guardhouse and sought help from the park rangers. With a ranger’s firefighter flashlight we finally found him; he had gotten injured somehow and sought refuge under a tree. He was also cold and shivering, and cried a bit when we lifted him back to safety. Thankfully, there was a vet on duty at the park that night and treated Felix.
