Conserve Water and Want Not

There are some locations that depend almost entirely on rainwater for water supply. In these areas, rain comes regularly so homes are equipped with rainwater storage facilities. Some families have water tanks built into their homes. Others use water storage barrels that they position under water spouts and open spaces. With regular rainfall, a water storage barrel can gather enough water for a family’s daily needs.
In farming areas large water storage are used to retain storm water for later use. Water may also be stored during the rainy season for use during the dry season. They are needed as drinking water for farm animals as well as for irrigating large planted areas. This is a reminder to us that water is an important commodity that we cannot live without. Conserving and recycling it when it is available will not leave us wanting.
