A Light Emitting Diode (LED) has a 12,000 hour life span. So if you are often outdoors in the dark and your light source keeps on breaking down on you, it is time to consider switching to LED. For camping and night hikes, a LED headlamp is your best bet to get you through those dark paths. These lamps are very durable last for a long time. LED also does not wear out batteries faster compared to conventional bulbs. They also do not emit a lot of heat.

Nowadays, almost all top brands of head lamps are already using LED technology. These lamps require less power than traditional bulbs and is dispersed evenly on surfaces. They are also very light and compact. When accidentally dropped on hard surfaces, LED will moreover not break easily.
