emergency medical kits

Medical emergencies can happen anywhere. At home, your child may just be playing in the garden when he gets off balanc, falls and gets a bump on the forehead. Or you might be driving ever so carefully down the road when a crazed teenager driving very fast hits your car. Another instance of a medical emergency is when you are on an outing with your family and one of your children is attacked by wasps. These are all unforeseen possibilities that require immediate action.
Standard emergency medical kits should include painkillers, antihistamine pills, a thermometer, bandages, and disinfectants. A lot of other things should be kept on hand which will be at the discretion of the person composing the kit. Be sure to balance the need to compile as many items as possible with the possibility of coming up with a huge bag that is so inconvenient to carry around. It is important that members of the family know what is in the bag and are aware of where it is kept. While we are in the subject of storage, remember to place your emergency medical kit is a place that is within easy reach.
