emergency food

The first thing that you need to consider during an emergency is whether you have enough food rations to go around. You need to have a stock of food that will last without refrigeration. This is in case the power goes out in an emergency situation. Floods, earthquakes, snowstorms – all these could prevent you from running to the grocery to get more supplies. Aside from that, most business establishments like grocery stores do not resume business operations right away, especially after such calamities.

You need to have emergency food on hand that is easy to eat even if you don’t have heat in the house. Canned food such as beans, lentils, corned beef, and sausages will come in handy during catastrophes.
