Times have changed drastically since 9/11. Every plane crash is front page and security is tighter than ever. Terrorism is suddenly a household term. Each time an airline or goes down the plane’s supposed black box is always being sought. All major airlines have emergency locator transmitters in addition to the so called “black box”. This device sends signals and information on its location and makes it easier for rescue squads to find them.
Emergency locator transmitters come in many forms shapes and sizes. They are devices that are present in most airplanes. Even small planes should have emergency locator transmitters. It is a gadget that is very important. It can help save lives. Emergency locator transmitters are also made of sturdy material to withstand shock and survive a crash landing. It must be capable of sending signals no matter how damaged it is.
