There’s a massive road building that’s happening to the city where I live. As a result traffic is horrendous. Traffic jams are everywhere. Traffic channelizers can be spotted everywhere. Usually it takes me 30 minutes to get to work. Now it takes me give or take an hour.
Traffic channelizers are there to direct the flow of traffic. Usually they are stringed together so that they’re no breaks in the fence. Often they are made of plastics usually in bright orange in color. The reason for this is so they will be easy to spot even from a distance. They are road safety devices that warn you of impending hazard.

People who have worked hard for what they have now are, of course, careful about guarding their possessions aside from their loved ones. At the end of the day, we desire to feel secure and safe inside our own homes. But with all the crimes and violence happening around us, it is sometimes difficult to feel out of harm’s way. This is a major reason why a lot of people prefer to have at least one spy camera installed in their homes.
In an imperfect world where it is hard to trust other people, a hidden or spy camera can help us feel somehow in control of a situation. This gadget reveals the dark sides of people. For instance, your nanny may be very caring with your child while you are there with them. However, you’ll never know what goes on while you are away because you have no way of finding out unless you install a spy camera inside your baby’s room.

In the event of failure of normal lighting, alternative measures are required for security purposes. Emergency lighting should be installed to provide initial illumination. These units are normally battery-type equipment that serves as backup for regular lights. There are different kinds of emergency lighting. Batteries are microsystems that light up each lighting unit. These are self-contained. Some lighting systems are powered from a central battery. Others have special conversion centers that convert fluorescent lighting for emergency use.
Certain places have been identified as needing emergency lighting. These are
~Stairway area
~Near changes of direction
~Intersection of corridors
~Exit doors
~Near each piece of fire-fighting equipment or manual call points
~First Aid points Other areas that will profit from emergency lighting are elevators and moving walkways, toilets and pedestrian routes within a covered car park.

I grew up living the Boy Scout motto of always be prepared. As a result, I am overzealous when it comes to personal safety. I’ve had training in the martial arts so I can protect myself when necessary. I’ve had first aid training also so I know what to do during medical emergencies. I own numerous survival kits that I store in my house, car and office.
An emergency can happen anywhere. That’s why I keep survival kits in any place I frequent. In my survival kits I have basic first aid necessities. I also have a knife, fish hooks, sewing kit and an LED flashlight. Survival kits are necessary for those who live or frequent remote areas.

There are so many possible emergencies that we have to prepare for. Recent events have shown us how floods, earthquakes, fires and natural disasters can be devastating. It can wipe out a family’s dwelling in minutes. It can destroy lives unnecessarily. It has taught us to prepare for these emergencies in the best way we can. We can never be fully prepared for these emergencies, but at least we can try and take steps to be able to alleviate discomfort when it happens. The first step is to provide emergency preparedness kits. Because we can never predict where disaster will strike, we should have them in our homes, cars, offices and schools.
Emergency experts suggest that these kits should contain emergency food, water, shelter, sanitation, lighting, communication and rescue supplies. Once we have these kits in place, we should also make a plan on how to act in times of crisis. The plan should include members of the family including pets.

An emergency can happen anywhere anytime. Just a few days ago, a devastating earthquake hit Haiti. A few months ago, another strong earthquake hit Sumatra. The frequency of big earthquakes is getting shorter. That’s why it’s important to have emergency foods and survival water.
When an emergency happens you should be prepared. Stock survival water and emergency foods in your house enough to last you a couple of weeks. Hope you don’t use it but be comforted that you have it in your garage. Also, have flashlights, extra batteries, a radio and first aid kits. He who is prepared is more likely to survive any form of emergency.

We live in a dangerous world. Just watch the nightly news. Personal safety should be in everyone’s mind. Arguably the best non-lethal weapon is the M-18 advanced taser. It can incapacitate an attack in excess of ten feet.
The M-18 advanced taser is the civilian version of the tasers used by the authorities. It is just as powerful. It has an effective range of up to 15 feet. When you get hit by a taser, you will get hit by a 50,000 volt electrode that will mess up your nervous system. Not only will it send 50,000 volts to your body it is also designed to pulsate that electricity.

Provide additional road safety and protection at night. Install solar barricade lights on parts of the highway or road where construction work is being done. These would warn motorists in advance to veer off the barricaded area. The installation of these durable units is just the same as conventional units but the former requires very low maintenance.
Other benefits of setting up solar barricade lights:
~They reduce road accidents
~They increase road visibility
~They provide beautiful light emitted on highways
~They are very energy efficient as they get their power from the light of the sun
~They are durable and will last for up to 15 years
